Make Up For Ever MUFE Full Cover Concealer

I heard about this concealer through a beauty blog, The Fancy Face. I then youtubed, and googled it where I read many many great reviews.  Now of course I had to try it for myself.  So off I went into Sephora to try it.  I have bad genetic dark under eye circles that doesn't seem to be covered with just foundation or drug store concealers.  My foray into makeup is fairly recent so bare with me for my lack of knowledge.

I am amazed when I tried it on. It actually covered my dark circles.  I wouldn't say 100% but about 90%.  I could never conceal my dark circles even 10% before.  I tried it in shade 12, then applied the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.  It looked amazing and my skin was flawless.  My friend who hates wearing makeup even complimented my skin and asked how I achieved it. I finally discovered a concealer that works, or so I thought.  The lady at Sephora gave me a sample and I took it home to experiment.  I wore it under my mac foundation and the results were even better, I got 100% coverage. I have always heard from youtube gurus that concealer is better when put on top of foundation, especially for under eye circles.  I tried that with my Maybelline foundation and the results weren't quite the same.  I'm not sure if it was the foundation ( I doubt it) or the fact that I wore the concealer on top.  The concealer now looked too light for my skin tone and wouldn't spread as easily under my eyes.

Thus this concealer works best when put on moisturized skin before foundation.  It is very smooth, blend-able, creamy.  You do have to be careful though since it drys very quickly thus losing the blending capacity.  It creases a bit after 6 hours but so did every other concealer I used, the creasing wasn't too noticeable on my skin. It is best to use concealers that come in a tube for under eye circles as they have the perfect consistency.  Pot concealers are too thick and creamy, liquid concealers with wands like many drug store brands are too liquidy to give proper coverage for dark circles.  It is important that concealers aren't too creamy so that later on the day it doesn't melt.  The last thing you want is a messy under eye area.  Since the mufe concealer drys very quickly I am assured that my dark circles won't be a mess by the end of the day.  You don't even have to set the concealer, depending on your skin type.  I don't have to most days, but if I am wearing full face makeup I do set everything.

The shade I got may be tad too light but since it works under my foundation I don't mind.  I had a $15 coupon from Sephora for being a beauty insider.[woohoo!] and wanted to buy what I knew would work.  I didn't want to risk buying the darker shade as I didn't have time to try it on.  It was the last day to use the coupon and my sister was in a rush so I grabbed the 12.  Next time I'll be sure to try the 14 and see how it compares, maybe it will give me better coverage.  I'm sure that's going to be a long time from now as this tiny tube is going to last a long time since you only need a tiny dot each usage.

The price is HIGH! $34 for .5oz tube.  However it is the best coverage I ever got from a concealer and you use so little that it will last you a long time.  Always try products on before buying as it might not work on your skin.  It did not work for my sister, it made her under eye circles look ashy. Maybe she did not try on the correct shade, don't know.

If you have tried a concealer with a better coverage let me know please!
